Position Objective

We are seeking a highly organised and technically proficient Lead Assessor to join us as a remote contractor. You will be responsible for evaluating student competence against the Reformer Academy’s This role is critical in ensuring that every graduate is an adaptable, critical thinker capable of delivering high-intensity, intention-based Reformer workouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Practical Assessment: Review and grade remote video submissions of student-led classes, providing detailed, constructive feedback on cueing, safety, and loading principles.

• Competency Evaluation: Assess written theory submissions and programming templates to ensure alignment with our mechanical tension and load progression strategies.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all assessments meet AUSactive standards and internal compliance requirements for vocational training.

• System Refinement: Collaborate with the Director to optimise assessment rubrics and feedback loops to ensure a seamless student experience.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Mandatory Certification: Must hold a current TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

• Industry Expertise: A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Reformer Pilates Instructor, with a demonstrable understanding of strength training principles.

• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating digital learning management systems (LMS) and video review platforms.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to deliver feedback that empowers rather than discourages.
