YMCA Victoria Point is seeking an enthusiastic Learn to Swim Teacher on a Casual Basis to join our team located in Victoria Point

About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Learn to Swim Teacher, qualified or willing to become qualified, to join our team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality swimming lessons to children of all ages and abilities—including infants—supporting their development of water confidence, safety skills, and stroke technique in a fun, encouraging environment.

What will my time look like?

Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons in line with program guidelines
Provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Monitor and assess swimmer progress, offering constructive feedback
Ensure all safety and supervision standards are maintained at all times
Helping babies and young children grow comfortable and confident as they explore water in their early years.

Am I a good match?

Must hold a valid infant swimming qualification and have experience teaching babies and toddlers
Passionate about teaching and working with children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, encouraging, and able to motivate children
Relevant swim teaching qualifications (AUSTSWIM/Swim Australia or equivalent - or willingness to obtain)
Current CPR and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain
Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
