This is a pivotal leadership role within the Fitness Cartel Group, overseeing both company-owned and franchised spa locations, and steering the performance, culture, and expansion of the Merse network.

What You’ll DoAs our General Manager - Merse Wellness Spas, you will oversee the full operational, commercial, cultural, and strategic performance of the Merse network, ensuring every spa delivers exceptional results and a premium guest experience.
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing national spa operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service and strong alignment to the Merse brand
- Driving financial performance across all locations, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI delivery, and reporting to Directors
- Leading the opening of new company-owned and franchised spas, including site readiness, recruitment, onboarding, and launch execution
- Supporting franchise partners with operational guidance, coaching, audits, and performance insights to uphold brand standards
- Developing and executing business strategies that drive commercial growth, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Partnering with Marketing to ensure presale campaigns, promotions, and brand initiatives deliver measurable results
- Leading, mentoring, and developing RPMs and Spa Managers to build capability, high performance, and a strong operational culture
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and performance management across the network
- Ensuring exceptional customer experience across all spas, including escalations, feedback analysis, and service improvements
- Building and maintaining operational systems and documentation, including SOPs, training materials, workflows, and onboarding tools
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, clinical standards, audits, and regulatory requirements
- Driving consistent adoption of operational systems and processes across OpCentral, Monday, SharePoint, and other platforms
What You’ll BringTo succeed in this role, you will have:
- Extensive multi-site senior leadership experience in health, wellness, spa, or fitness
- Proven ability to deliver financial results, revenue growth, and operational excellence
- Experience leading and developing senior operational teams
- Strong commercial and analytical capability
- Project management expertise — especially in new site openings
- Experience with SOP development, compliance systems, and operational governance
- High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for wellness, customer service, and brand experience
- Degree in Business, Management, or similar (preferred)
