Queensland Academy for Health Sciences (QAHS) empowers high-achieving students in Years 10-12 through a world-class curriculum in a holistic, supportive environment.

We are seeking a dedicated fitness professional to nurture and motivate our students in a culture of excellence, wellbeing and global citizenship.

This role requires both morning and afternoon fitness sessions.

About The Role

As the Gym Instructor at QAHS, you will play a vital role in leading the fitness centre and programs, inspiring students to achieve their fitness goals while promoting a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities Include

Delivering high-quality personal training and group fitness sessions tailored to students' needs and abilities.
Supervising and ensuring safe use of gym equipment and facilities, including maintenance and monitoring.
Conducting pre-exercise screenings and evaluations for students.
Supporting fitness initiatives, such as preparing students for activities like The Kokoda Challenge.
Promoting wellbeing and fitness across the QAHS community through engaging programs and activities.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

Experience in personal training and group fitness instruction.
Knowledge of gym equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
Ability to work independently and creatively plan fitness programs.
A positive and enthusiastic approach to promoting health and wellbeing.
