We are looking for enthusiastic swim instructors who are committed to providing high-quality swimming instruction in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Successful applicants will work with students of varying ages and abilities, contributing to a positive learning experience and the strong aquatic culture of the College and the Clayfield Community.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality learn to swim lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
Work in collaboration with Clayfield College HPE staff to deliver an educational and rewarding school program.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants by actively supervising the aquatic environment
Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with parents and guardians as required
Uphold and promote Clayfield College policies, procedures, and aquatic safety guidelines
Work collaboratively with the Aquatic Centre team to support a positive and professional workplace culture
Assist with set-up and pack-down of equipment and ensure the pool area remains clean and organised
Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience delivering high‑quality learn‑to‑swim programs across a range of ages and abilities.
Ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students.
Strong understanding of stroke development, aquatic safety principles, and effective teaching methodologies.
Hold SWIM Australia Teacher or equivalent.
Hold or eligibility to hold, a Working With Children Positive Notice (Blue Card)
