The role
We are currently recruiting for additional Swim Instructors to join our Learn to Swim team. Although varied, students are usually aged between 4 to 12 years of age. This casual position is best suited to an individual seeking casual hours with general flexibility throughout the week. At the moment, we are seeking instructors to support our program on a Tuesday to Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Reporting to the Head Swim Coach, you will be responsible for delivering structured swim lessons (and/or squad sessions) in accordance with seasonal plans. You will also play a key role in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity of the swimmers whilst also fostering good school-community relationships.
In Order To Be Considered, Successful Applicants Will Require
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming (or equivalent) and Water Safety qualifications.
- Bronze Medallion together with current first aid, asthma management, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Demonstrated Learn to Swim teaching experience with technical knowledge of swim instruction.
- A commitment to providing a high level of customer service and well developed communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current National Criminal Record Check (or the willingness to undertake a check prior to beginning employment).
