The Role
Join the team at Burpengary Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre and play a key role in delivering a safe, high-quality aquatic environment for the Burpengary and Moreton Bay community. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a modern, community-focused facility committed to health, wellbeing and inclusion.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Aquatic Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day aquatic operations of the centre, with a strong focus on safety, risk management and compliance. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for staff and patrons by implementing hazard prevention strategies, monitoring risk and ensuring all operational standards are consistently met.
This is a hands-on role where you will oversee emergency equipment readiness, support incident and accident investigations, and ensure all safety systems, inspections and records are up to date. You will also assist in driving continuous improvement across OH&S, risk and environmental performance within the facility.
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a broader operations team, with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring previous experience in a similar position along with a solid understanding of OH&S legislation and aquatic operations. You will also hold a current Pool Lifeguard qualification and First Aid certification.
This role may involve early mornings, evenings and weekend shifts as part of a rotating roster.

Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
- Demonstrated experience of plant room management and Pool operations is essential
- Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
- Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
- Blue Card
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Current Pool Operations Certificate
