Mind + Gut™ is a Melbourne-based, multidisciplinary clinic founded in 2016 by Dr. Simone Peters. We specialise in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders through an integrated, evidence-based approach that considers the gut–brain connection.
Our model combines dietary, psychological, and medical care to support meaningful and lasting outcomes for patients. We are particularly focused on providing care that is both clinically rigorous and deeply supportive, recognising the complex relationship between gut symptoms, food, and behaviour.
Role Description
We are seeking a Dietitian to join our team in St Kilda East for 2 days per week.
This role is ideally suited to a clinician with experience or a strong interest in eating disorders and disordered eating, alongside a desire to develop expertise in gastrointestinal health.
Approximately 25% of patients presenting with gastrointestinal disorders experience eating disorders or disordered eating behaviours, and this role will play a key part in supporting this cohort within a safe, structured, and multidisciplinary environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive dietary and nutritional assessments
- Developing individualised, evidence-based nutrition care plans
- Providing nutritional counselling with a strong behavioural and supportive focus
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support complex patients
- Supporting patients to build a more flexible, sustainable relationship with food
Extensive training and support in gastrointestinal conditions will be provided.
Qualifications & Experience
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD)
- Experience in, or a strong interest in, eating disorders and disordered eating
- Confidence in delivering patient-centred, supportive care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in developing expertise in gastrointestinal disorders (prior experience not essential)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
