The City of Gold Coast operates four aquatic centres, offering something for everyone: learn-to-swim programs, swimming school swimming programs and carnivals, squad swimming, diving programs, pools, fitness centres, and active and healthy aqua classes.
About The Roles
As a Group Fitness Instructor and/or Fitness Instructor, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment for our members.
You will deliver engaging group fitness classes that inspire participants of all abilities, using your expertise to build confidence and support individuals in achieving their fitness goals. In addition, you will conduct fitness assessments and develop tailored programs, ensuring all activities are safe, effective, and aligned with individual needs.
You will contribute to a positive and supportive culture across the centre, engaging with members to enhance their overall experience. This includes assisting with class setup and pack down, maintaining clean and safe fitness spaces, and promoting the responsible use of equipment.

You are a motivated and organised fitness professional with a genuine passion for health and wellbeing. Confident in delivering fitness assessments, personalised programs, and engaging group classes, you bring energy, strong safety awareness, and exceptional customer service to every interaction.
Your proactive and adaptable approach enables you to create a welcoming environment for members while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre. This includes supporting administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate client records, managing bookings, and assisting with general operational processes.
Committed to continuous improvement, you actively pursue professional development opportunities and ensure all industry training and certifications remain current. You represent the City with professionalism, building positive relationships and supporting members to achieve their fitness goals.
