As the Wagga Leisure Programs Team Leader, you will coordinate high‑quality programs at the Oasis Aquatic Centre, Jim Elphick Tennis Centre, Multi‑Purpose Stadium and Bolton Park Stadium.
In this pivotal position, you will lead the delivery of the Oasis Swim School, oversee all on‑court tennis programming and competitions, and ensure an exceptional experience for participants, parents and the wider community. You will also explore opportunities for future growth across other Wagga Leisure sites including potential programs within the Multi-Purpose and Bolton Park Stadiums. With one direct report and a large team of casual staff, you will guide, mentor and develop program delivery teams to maintain consistently high standards.

- Permanent, full-time position (38-hours per week).
- Remuneration package of $3,343.26 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $4,011.91 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

We’re Looking For Someone With
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current AUSTSWIM or RLSSA Swim Teaching qualification
- Current Tennis NSW Participation Coaching accreditation
- NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
- Current Pool Lifeguard Licence (Desirable)
- Current Pickleball Deliverer accreditation (Desirable)
- Experience delivering training in a sport, recreation or program‑based environment
- Strong background in planning and delivering programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the delivery of the Oasis Swim School.
- Coordinate the delivery of all on-court programming and competitions within the Jim Elphick Tennis Centre.
- Liaise with parents, customers and members on all issues relating to Wagga Leisure Programs.
- Explore opportunities for future growth across other Wagga Leisure sites including potential programs within the Multi-Purpose and Bolton Park Stadiums.
- Ensure all program delivery staff are equipped with the required skills and attributes including training, guidance and constructive feedback on teaching techniques together with coordinating team meetings and training opportunities for delivery staff.
- Ensure the quality of program delivery is of a consistently high standard.
- Oversee the booking and enrolment process for Wagga Leisure programs continuing to improve and identify opportunities which maximise user experience.
- Prepare and distribute newsletters and other information to delivery staff and customers.
- Conduct skill and progress assessments, monitor participant progress and make appropriate recommendations regarding participant placement.
- Conduct and roster staff to individual and group training sessions in line with tennis facility programs, schedules, and timetables.
This role involves child-related work and is subject to NSW child protection legislation. A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC), issued by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian, is required. Candidates must provide their WWCC number for verification.
