Assistant Store Manager – Hawthorn & Melbourne CBD
Sole Motive is looking for Assistant Store Managers to join our Hawthorn and Melbourne CBD stores. This role is ideal for someone with retail leadership experience, a passion for running or fitness, and a genuine focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience. As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support the Store Manager with day to day store operations, team leadership, customer service, stock management, visual merchandising and local community initiatives.
This role is available as full-time or part-time for the right person, with regular weekend availability required.
What You'll Do:
- Lead from the shop floor and help set the standard for customer service
- Support daily store operations, presentation and team performance
- Assist with stock management, inventory processes and sales targets
- Help with visual merchandising and in store campaign execution
- Support rosters, onboarding, training and team development
- Drive local community outreach, including run clubs, events, gyms and health professionals
About You:
- Retail experience, ideally with some supervisory or leadership responsibility
- A genuine interest in running, fitness and helping customers find the right gear
- Confident working independently and taking initiative
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Comfortable building relationships with customers, staff and the local community
- Flexible availability, including weekends
