The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is seeking an experienced and collaborative procurement professional to join the DCS Procurement Team as a Sourcing Manager. The successful applicant will lead high-value, complex ICT and technology sourcing activities and provide high‑quality, end‑to‑end procurement and contract management services that support agencies to deliver critical business outcomes.
This role operates in a fast‑paced environment and requires strong professional judgement, the ability to work autonomously, and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and specialist teams to deliver outcomes under pressure. You will be confident leading work from day one while contributing positively to a supportive and high‑performing team culture.

About Us
DCS Procurement is a central, specialist function supporting the Department of Customer Service to deliver value‑for‑money, compliant and strategically aligned procurement outcomes.
The DCS Procurement team comprises three core functions: Business Partnering, Sourcing, and the Centre of Excellence. This role sits within the Sourcing team and reports to a Senior Sourcing Manager, working closely with senior stakeholders, business partners and specialist advisory teams to deliver complex sourcing outcomes across the portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and deliver complex, high‑value and/or high‑risk ICT sourcing activities from procurement planning through to contract establishment.
- Plan and lead commercial and contractual negotiations to establish, renew or remediate supply arrangements that deliver value for money and manage risk.
- Provide authoritative procurement advice and guidance to senior customers and stakeholders, including cross‑functional specialist teams, to strengthen governance, improve procurement practice and build organisational capability.

You are a trusted procurement professional with demonstrated experience leading complex sourcing activities in a regulated environment. You bring sound professional judgement, strong governance capability and the confidence to guide stakeholders through risk‑based decision‑making.
You are collaborative, delivery‑focused and resilient, and thrive in fast‑paced environments where priorities are dynamic and outcomes matter.
Some of your key attributes include:
- Sound analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to navigate complexity and resolve competing priorities
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to lead senior stakeholders through complex sourcing and negotiation processes
- Strong ability to interpret and apply the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework, with a sound understanding of probity, governance and value‑for‑money principles
