Skills
With a practice that extends over 10 years, I have practised at Grassroots Yoga as a student for the past two and half years, as well as The Yoga Space in Balaclava, Light Space Yoga in Mitcham and Kula Yoga in Hawthorn. Before becoming a yoga teacher, I spent many years immersed in musical theatre and dance, and continue in a choreographic capacity in the industry. My dance training began at age four and grew into a lifelong commitment, encompassing the Cecchetti ballet syllabus, alongside tap, jazz, and moving into contemporary, where I completed and a Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Contemporary Dance. Movement has always been my first language, and yoga has become the place where that language has softened into something more spacious, intuitive and restorative.
About
As an emerging vinyasa yoga teacher with an extensive background in yoga, dance and movement, I bring a deep respect for the moving body, an intuitive eye for alignment and flow, and a genuine desire to create space where people can reconnect with themselves.
My teaching is grounded in compassion and presence. I guide vinyasa as an invitation for students to return to their bodies, soften the noise of the thinking mind, and settle into breath led movement. My background in dance shapes my understanding of rhythm, balance, sequencing, and the beauty of moving with awareness as our bodies change over time. I aim to offer classes that feel supportive, steady, and expansive, where students feel safe to listen inward, honour their capacity in the moment, and move in ways that are both grounding and freeing.
