Exercise Physiologist

This new position will be a part of an experienced Allied Health team, including Occupational Therapist, Nurses, and Physiotherapists. You will be operating out of our Spinal Life Healthy Living Centre which has been designed to provide contemporary rehabilitation, fitness, and wellness services to people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities. This is a flexible opportunity - Casual or Part time based at our Woolloongabba office.
This position is responsible for developing and monitoring tailored exercise programs to assist clients.
Provision of a quality professional service to all clients
- Provide high quality exercise-based assessment of clients’ needs and abilities in order to develop tailored individual and group exercise programs for clients with Spinal Cord Injury.
- Delivery of tailored programs on a 1-on-1 or group setting in a professional, confidential and safe manner.
- Delivery of Hydrotherapy and in home visits
- Work on strength and conditioning to assist clients’ independence, general health or sport-specific training as necessary.
- Measure outcomes and progress of programs for guests and clients.
- Working closely with all relevant allied health team members to help establish operations of the rehab and fitness centre
What is needed to be successful?
- Bachelor of Exercise Physiology or similar
- Current ESSA accreditation
- Demonstrated experience
- Proven experience in developing exercise programs with minimal supervision
- Customer-service experience
- Highly Desirable: Experience working with people with a spinal cord injury or other neurological conditions
- Pilates reformer experience and accreditation
