About you
Currently we have had an experienced sports physio about to have a child and a physio returning to NZ, and this rarely available opportunity for our ideal candidate is to commence employment in early 2026. You would be stepping into a partial caseload and not having to build a caseload from scratch.

Ideally you have a special area of interest within private practice - we currently have physios with special expertise in clinical pilates, pelvic health, gym based rehab, and occupational health
The physio leaving is an experienced MSK physio and we are ideally looking for an experienced musculoskeletal physio, or a physio with both MSK and pelvic physio skillsets
The role
Our ideal therapist is able to work fulltime hours Monday to Friday (the clinics aren't open Saturdays)
You will be replacing an existing experienced therapist with a caseload that you will step straight into and not have to build up
You will treat a mix of private musculoskeletal clients and we will assist you in building a niched caseload to suit a special area of interest. If you are a pelvic physio we can re activate a caseload of pelvic patients from a previous physio who worked in pelvic health
Appointment lengths will be customised to your needs (both initial and follow up consultations) and level of experience
We will consider applicants with any level of experience, although our preferred candidates will have 5+ years in private practice
Your level of experience will determine your salary package, and our existing therapists' salary packages range from a base award salary to upwards of $80 an hour as a total package
Annual salary package will range from $100000 to $150000 pro rata including your base salary plus super and all bonuses and entitlements (based on experience and qualifications - new grads of very inexperienced physios will not receive an offer in the above range)
Your salary package includes a bonus/commission structure which allows you to take home an extra $20000-$30000 per year (pro rata) in performance based bonuses
You will have access to a PD budget, internal formal and informal clinic mentoring, and world class external paid mentors the clinic engages
We have a highly skilled admin team including an experienced Practice Manager to assist you at all levels of your role, especially with client retention
Each quarter we close the clinic for a team day focused on helping you grow personally and set goals that are meaningful to you
About the clinic
Scarborough and Newport Physio and Health are upmarket boutique clinics located in the beautiful Newport Marketplace on the Redcliffe Peninsula. We have grown through COVID and weathered the challenges of the last couple of years and have come out the other side. We are a strong business with a large and diverse client base, and we are unaffected by the recent changes to the NDIS affecting so much of our industry.
Our vision is to make Redcliffe the healthiest and best place to live in Australia through positively influencing the lives of every person on the Redcliffe Peninsula, and to date we have helped around 25 000 people in our region of around 60 000 residents.
Comprising a team across the 2 clinics of 8 physios, 4 psychologists and 2 remedial massage therapists we service clients with complex needs who form strong bonds with their therapists over long periods of time and require expert care and high levels of customer service and collaborative treatment.
Our induction programme is industry best and guaranteed you success in your role with a 6-12 month and ongoing training programme.
We have formal and informal clinical and non clinical mentoring and you will have a mentor and buddy assigned to you.

For suitably qualified applicants outside Australia your physiotherapy degree must be equivalent to an Australian physiotherapy undergraduate qualification, and your skills, communication and command of the English language must be at an exceptional standard to be considered for this role, and for this role we are unable to provide sponsorship and will only hire someone who has practised in a Western private practice model and has significant experience.
Candidates must hold permanent residency or Australian citizenship to be eligible for this position.
