About The Role
We’re looking for energetic and customer-focused Exercise Specialists to join our growing Recreation team at Council’s health and fitness centres, including the newly opened Rhodes Recreation Centre and Concord Oval Leisure Centre.
We have a variety of permanent part-time roles available, ranging from 17 to 22.5 hours per week, as well as casual opportunities — ideal for those looking to balance work and lifestyle while making a meaningful impact in the community.
As an Exercise Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a high-quality gym floor experience for patrons and supporting the day-to-day operations of the health clubs.
In This Role, You Will
- Assist with gym floor supervision and daily operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive, welcoming environment
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are safe, clean and operational
- Address patron enquiries and feedback
- Support team cohesion and uphold health club rules and policies
About You
You’re passionate about fitness and community wellbeing, and love helping people feel confident and supported in their health journeys. You bring professionalism, energy, and a team-focused attitude to every shift.
To Be Successful, You Will Have
- Certificate III and IV in Fitness
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in the fitness industry or in customer-facing roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A current Class C Driver’s Licence
What’s on offer
We are offering attractive total remuneration from $67,615.06 to $77,757.32 + super (pro rata) depending on experience. The rate for a casual is $42.59 per hour.
