The role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified
Swim School Instructors to join our vibrant Leisure and Aquatic Services team on a
casual basis. You will deliver high-quality Learn to Swim classes across our five aquatic centres in accordance with Austswim and Swim Australia standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate swim instructors who enjoy working with children and the community to build water safety and swimming skills.
Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To
- Deliver Learn to Swim classes to children and adults using Council’s programs
- Set up and pack down equipment safely and efficiently
- Provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging aquatic learning environment
- Maintain qualifications and participate in training and team briefings
- Support customer service by engaging positively with patrons and parents

You will have
- Austswim or Swim Australia Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification
- Current Apply First Aid & CPR certificates
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Commitment to safety and professional standards
Desirable qualifications include additional Austswim extension modules and experience with infants or diverse learners.
The hourly pay rate commences at
$31.38, plus
casual loading and
12% super.
