UC Physio is a well established and highly respected family run physiotherapy practice located northern Gold Coast with two clinics, Upper Coomera Clinic which opened in 2015 and Pimpama in 2020. We see a variety of different presentations with each physiotherapist having their own niche. The paediatric caseload is diverse such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and neuromuscular conditions, Global Development Delay, toe walking, ASD, DCD, infant head shape and feet issues, torticollis, Down syndrome, ach lasia, arthrogryposis, juvenile arthritis, sport injuries and many other childhood conditions. We offer a range of services such as manual therapy, clinical pilates, and aquatic physiotherapy, and assistive technology prescription.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Paediatric assessments and treatments including diagnosis specific, standardised outcome measures
- Report writing to third parties including NDIS, specialists, school/kindy
- Representing UC Physio during visits to GP clinics, sporting clubs and equipment trials
- Session planning
- Funding for these ranges from NDIS, 3rd Party, TCA and private
- Aquatic Physiotherapy
- Community visits such as home, kindy, school, sport
- Assistive technology (equipment) prescription such as walkers, standers, strollers, wheelchairs, crutches, bikes, orthosis
- Working collaborative with team members, specialists and other allied health professionals
- Monday and Saturday availability is a must
Qualifications & Experience
- Physiotherapy Degree
- Experience or desire to focus career on paediatric (0-18) clients
- AHPRA Registered
- Aquatic experience desirable
- Funding experience eg NDIS, Medicare, Private, Third Party
- Show initiative to develop client load and finding a niche within paediatric caseload
- Driver's licence with own car
