About The Role
Are you passionate about helping people feel better, move more and live healthier lives at work? Santos is looking for an energetic and people-focused
Health and Lifestyle Coordinator to bring our onsite Healthier Me Hubs to life. This role sits at the heart of our health and wellbeing strategy, coordinating onsite gym facilities, developing fitness programs, running group classes and creating an environment where employees feel supported on their health journey. You’ll work closely with our Health and Wellbeing team, onsite GPs and Allied Health providers to deliver engaging, safe and impactful wellness initiatives.
In this hands-on role, you’ll design and deliver fitness classes for the broader workforce as well as tailored programs for individuals, coordinate bookings, conduct inductions and basic health assessments, and ensure our gym facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard. You’ll also play a key role in promoting wellbeing initiatives across the business, supporting health promotion activities, and working alongside medical professionals to motivate, coach and inspire employees to set and achieve meaningful health goals. Monitoring facility usage, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring compliance with Santos governance, safety and management systems will round out this varied and rewarding role.
About You
Join us in a role where you will help to shape the wellbeing and productivity of our workforce. With your experience in the provision of fitness classes and personal programs as well as the development and implementation of broader health and wellbeing programs you will help to craft an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered. As a persuasive communicator, you will engage and influence with key stakeholders across the business.
Your expertise in group fitness, and physical wellbeing, supported by qualifications in fitness, sport and recreation as well as yoga and pilates will support the Health and Wellbeing Manager deliver tangible results. Your analytical skills will help to harness data to inform decisions and gauge success. You will support the assessment of organisational health and wellbeing risks and help to pioneer solutions that elevate both employee wellbeing and organisational culture. What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in a fitness facility in a similar role
- Proven group fitness delivery experience
- Experience developing programs and supporting injury management and long-term rehabilitation
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with a genuine ability to engage others
- Ability to work independently, with a proactive and well-organised approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High focus on customer service and participant engagement
- Passion for physical and mental health, wellbeing and fitness
- Certificate IV in Fitness or Diploma of Sport and Recreation
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Desirable qualifications or experience in Yoga and/or Pilates
- Tertiary qualification in Human Movement, Exercise Physiology or Nutrition (highly regarded)
