We’re seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer – Temporary Works to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role can be based out of our Tweed Heads (Chinderah) or Helensvale office — giving you the flexibility to build your career while enjoying the coastal lifestyle.

The Role
As an Intermediate Structural Engineer – Temporary Works, you will contribute to the analysis, design, and delivery of a wide range of temporary works projects, supporting safe and practical construction outcomes.
This is a role for someone who is technically capable, detail-focused, and ready to take ownership while continuing to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design for temporary works projects
- Assist in developing construction methodologies and erection sequences
- Undertake detailed temporary works design and assess impacts on permanent works
- Produce structural mark-ups for clients and internal drafting teams
- Support schematic, preliminary, tender, and construction documentation
- Perform design analysis using accepted methods and company software
- Provide technical guidance to Graduate Engineers and drafting teams
- Participate in QA reviews and technical document checks
- Attend site inspections, assess shop drawings, variations, and defect inspections
- Contribute to weekly resourcing and project planning meetings
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Respond to workshop and site queries during construction
About You
You’re technically strong, motivated, and comfortable working both independently and within a team.
You’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- 2+ years’ structural design experience, particularly in temporary works
- CPEng qualified or actively pursuing Chartered status
- Eligibility for Engineers Australia membership
- High proficiency in steel and reinforced concrete design
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and local design practices
- Experience producing detailed engineering sketches and drawings
- Proficiency in Space Gass, Structural Toolkit, Bluebeam, Hilti Profis, RAM Concept (or similar)
- Sound understanding of construction methodology and its impact on design
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Clear communication and collaboration skills
