Do you want work that creates real and lasting impact for children in your community?
For more than 35 years, Life Ed Queensland has empowered children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education. As Queensland’s largest non-government provider of health education to children, we reach more than 175,000 students each year with trusted, curriculum-aligned programs, supported by our much-loved mascot Healthy Harold.
Our work is grounded in passion, purpose and community trust. We are seeking a confident and engaging part time ( 22.8 hrs /3 days per week) Educator to deliver our programs across the Bundaberg region.
This is not a traditional classroom role. It is dynamic, community-based and purpose-led.
What You Will Do
You will deliver interactive health and wellbeing sessions to primary schools and early learning centres. Programs align with the Australian Health and Physical Education curriculum and cover topics such as nutrition, respectful relationships, alcohol and other drugs, cybersafety, bullying and personal safety.
All content and resources are provided. Your role is to bring each session to life, create meaningful engagement, and build strong relationships with teachers and school leaders. You will represent Life Ed professionally within schools and the broader community, supporting teachers to reinforce key health messages beyond the session.
The role requires travel throughout the Bundaberg region, with planned overnight stays each school term, including Hervey Bay and Maryborough.
What We Are Looking For
You are confident presenting to children and young people and comfortable speaking with teachers, principals and parents about program value and outcomes. You build trust quickly and adapt your approach across different learning environments.
You will hold a relevant qualification in education, early childhood, youth work, community services or a related field. Experience in education, early learning, youth work or assistant teaching is highly regarded.
A current unrestricted driver’s licence is essential, along with a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.

You will be part of a supportive statewide Education team, with head office based on the Gold Coast.
