The Position
We are seeking
qualified Lifeguards to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Murray Evans Sports and Aquatic Centre. We are looking for both
full-time (Monday – Friday) 38 hours per week and
casual candidates
(hours will be as advised and negotiated with the Manager, Sports Facilities working a rotational roster across Monday – Sunday).
The Somerville House Sports Complex Includes An Olympic Size, Heated Outdoor Swimming Pool, As Well As Indoor Sporting Facilities, In This Position You Will
- Be the first point of contact at the Pool Kiosk.
- Supervise all customers (staff, students and general public).
- Opening/closing and preparing the venue for safe use.
- Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure standards and regulations are met.
About You
- Do you have relevant experience and sound knowledge of operational requirements as a Pool Lifeguard?
- Do you have an approachable demeanour and willingness to provide friendly customer service?
- Are you able to actively supervise an aquatic facility to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers?

It is a mandatory requirement for this position that you hold a Working with Children Paid Blue Card and valid Pool Lifeguard, First and CPR Certificates.
