About This Role
Your new role:
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality, community-based care by working closely with a multidisciplinary allied health team to provide clinical, administrative and patient-focused assistance.
- Deliver delegated clinical support activities including individual and group therapy programs under the supervision of allied health professionals
- Assist with patient care needs such as transport, manual handling, and basic education to support treatment goals
- Support the preparation, maintenance and monitoring of clinical equipment, therapy resources and stock supplies
- Contribute to patient care documentation and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective service delivery in community and home-based settings
About You
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual who thrives in a community setting and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out delegated clinical tasks and patient interventions within a defined scope of practice
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary team members
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with sound judgement in recognising when to seek guidance
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and maintain high standards of accuracy and care
