About Us
Newcastle Therapy was born from a desire to provide exceptional clinical support in a strengths-based and neuro-affirming way to the people of Newcastle. We are based in Mayfield, where we’ve created a warm and welcoming clinic space for both clients and clinicians. As a small local provider, we are dedicated to being compassionate therapists and fierce advocates for our community.
We’re on the lookout for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a contractor, you have the flexibility to set the times and days you want to work. As working parents ourselves, we understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. If you need flexible hours to make that pilates class or school pick-up, we’ll make it work.
About Our Clients
We work with adult clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including neurodivergent participants and autistic ADHDers, people with psychosocial, mental health diagnoses, progressive neurological conditions, and intellectual disabilities. We predominantly support an NDIS caseload.

- A Bachelor (or Masters) of Occupational Therapy.
- 2+ years experience.
- AHPRA registration.
- Current professional indemnity insurance, working with children check and criminal history check.
- Willing to obtain a NDIS Worker screening clearance.
- You have access to a vehicle to attend community sessions.
- You care about delivering client-centred strengths based intervention with clients, in a neuro-affirming way.
- You value autonomy and flexibility in clinical practice, having confidence in clinical decision-making.
- You are ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and their families.
