An exciting opportunity exists to join the expanding Studio team at United Physiotherapy Group, based in South Yarra and Richmond.
We are looking for a new Physiotherapist to join our Physfit Team! We are open to both experienced and early-career Physiotherapists who hold qualifications and experience in Clinical Pilates and in running exercise classes. This role would suit a physiotherapist looking for a few extra hours of work; ideally starting at 3-6 hours, with potential to expand in the future, with the prospect of transitioning into a part-time role.
The Role
Our studio has a thriving Physfit program - a combination of clinical pilates and physiotherapy taught exercises. This consists of small-group classes with individualised programs and 1-on-1 sessions. We are looking to add an evening to our current schedule and are seeking a physiotherapist with experience and qualifications in this area to support it.
As a Physfit Physiotherapist, your role would consist of:
- Assessing patients during initial appointments with the goal of writing a program specifically suited to their needs, as well as teaching them good technique and concepts around these exercises.
- Running 1on1 exercise sessions with patients to teach and solidify their programs
- Running small group classes for patients with individualised programs
- Periodically progressing and rewriting programs for the patients.
- Providing cover for hours when other Physfit physiotherapists are away on leave.
About you
We would like to hear from people who are passionate about physiotherapy, exercise as a treatment and management module, and who pride themselves on high-quality care. An ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, pilates qualifications, experience running group exercise classes, and a focus on patient driven care.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor of Physiotherapy OR an equivalent internationally (and APA) recognised qualification
- AHPRA Registration (General Registration)
- A pilates qualification
- Clinical skills to perform comprehensive Assessment, Treatment, Risk Assessments
- A National Police Certificate
- NDIS Check/Working with Children Check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Driver’s license and access to your own car
