Senior Gym Manager – Flagship Facility

This is a large-scale business leadership opportunity.
We are seeking an experienced operator to take full ownership of a flagship, 8,000sqm facility, set to be one of the largest fitness environments in the Southern Hemisphere.
Designed to operate at scale across training, performance, recovery, retail, and member experience, this is a rare opportunity to lead a complex, high-volume business with real scope and progression.
The Opportunity
You will lead the performance, people, and operations of a flagship site, setting the benchmark for what excellence looks like at scale.
This is not about maintaining a club.
This is about running a business.
You will oversee:
- Member Experience & Front of House
- Personal Training & Fitness operations
- Group Fitness programming
- Retail, Nutrition Bar & secondary spend
- Overall commercial performance and profitability
Your focus:
Drive performance, build a strong culture, and deliver consistent results across a large, multi-department operation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead the day-to-day operation of a large-scale, 24/7 facility
- Manage and develop a multi-layered team, including department heads
- Build structure, systems, and operational consistency
- Deliver a premium, high-energy experience across all areas of the club
Performance & Commercial Ownership
- Own and drive key business metrics, including:
- Membership growth and sales targets
- Retention and member satisfaction
- Secondary revenue (PT, classes, retail, nutrition)
- Overall profitability (EBIT)
- Analyse performance data and implement clear, actionable strategies
- Drive accountability across all teams
Team & Culture
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team
- Create a culture built on:
- Energy
- Ownership
- Accountability
- Lead from the front, visible, hands-on, and present in the business
Community & Growth
- Drive in-club activations and member engagement
- Support local marketing initiatives to build presence and momentum
- Create an environment members want to be part of every day
About You
You are a commercially minded operator who understands how to lead at scale.
- Proven experience managing large teams in high-volume environments
- Strong understanding of sales, KPIs, and business performance
- Comfortable owning results across multiple departments
- Able to build structure, lead people, and drive accountability
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments
You are not looking for your first leadership role.

Ideal Background
- Senior Club Manager or equivalent in a high-volume fitness or service environment
- Experience managing multi-department operations
- Strong commercial and sales capability
- Fitness industry experience preferred, but not essential
