About The Position
The Aquatic Centre Swim Coach will train and instruct participants in swimming by analysing their performances and developing their skills. There is an expectation that the position will involve the need for flexibility in working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, train and instruct swimmers by analysing performance and developing abilities
- Foster technique progression, race preparation, and development pathways with swimmers
- Plan squad timetables, manage seasonal programs, and implement dryland training where applicable
- Maintain and promote positive relationships with schools, swimming clubs, other bodies and patrons to promote utilisation of the facility
- Undertake routine maintenance of water facilities such as water testing
- Monitor squad attendance, liaising with parents/guardians, and reporting performance data to management

About You
- Swim Australia Development or Advance Coach Accreditation
- Advanced or Performance coaching accreditation with Swimming Australia and a minimum SCTA Bronze level qualification
- Demonstrated ability in building a successful and sustainable swim program, working closely with swimming clubs and the wider community
- Experience in developing a holistic swim program and athlete development pathways
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to deliver high level of customer service and well developed communication skills
- Ability to motivate and build rapport with young people to enhance their fitness and achieve their personal best
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WHS and Pool Regulations
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current CPR and/or First Aid Certificate
What We Offer
- Permanent part time, 20 hours per week
- Hourly Rate from $30.4253 to $31.6784 per hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
