Job DescriptionYoga Paws is seeking a dedicated, energetic and highly reliable Event Coordinator to help run our puppy yoga events across South East Queensland.
This is a hands-on, people-facing weekend role ideal for someone who loves dogs, is available every Saturday and Sunday, thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys creating memorable experiences. Events may be rostered in Brisbane, the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast, depending on the schedule.
Core ResponsibilitiesEvent Facilitation- Arrive on-site before event start time to assist with set-up, including mats, pens, signage and event layout
- Run sessions throughout the day while keeping to schedule
- Create an upbeat, welcoming and professional environment
- Greet clients at check-in, answer questions and manage attendee flow
- Confidently deliver session introductions, safety briefings and transitions between classes
Puppy Care and Welfare- Monitor puppies throughout each session to ensure they are safe, comfortable and happy
- Support puppy socialisation through calm, positive handling
- Identify when puppies need breaks, rest or space and act accordingly
- Enforcing rules with participants
- Work closely with breeders or rescue partners to maintain welfare standards
Customer Interaction- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
- Handle client inquiries, concerns and feedback professionally
- Manage group dynamics and ensure all participants feel included and respected
Equipment and Logistics- Assist with transporting event equipment to and from venues as required
- Be available for some pre-event equipment pick-ups and post-event drop-offs
- Work with other event staff to share equipment transport responsibilities
- Equipment storage, weekly cleaning, maintenance, inventory management and restocking are handled by our Brisbane HQ team
Requirements- Available every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 5:30pm
- Able to work across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, depending on the roster
- Valid driver’s licence and personal car - non-negotiable
- Confident, punctual, reliable and customer-focused
- Strong commitment to weekend availability, with only occasional planned weekends off
- Comfortable handling puppies and managing busy environments
- Strong communication skills and initiative
- Long-term availability in South East Queensland preferred
- No prior experience required
Weekend AvailabilityThis role requires someone who is genuinely available to work every weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. We understand that team members may occasionally need time off for holidays, personal commitments or other planned events, and that is completely reasonable.
However, this position is best suited to someone whose regular lifestyle allows them to be available most weekends. If you frequently travel on weekends or are regularly unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.
Reliability is extremely important, as our events require careful planning, staffing and coordination across multiple locations.

- Hours: 7:00am to 5:30pm
- $30 per hour
- Paid breaks throughout the day
- Superannuation and leave entitlements included
