What You'll Be Doing
The Nutrition and Dietetics Department within Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN) delivers evidence-based nutrition care to optimise the growth, health, and wellbeing of infants, children, and adolescents with acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions.
The Diet Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, leadership, and operational oversight of designated Allied Health Assistants, and for effective liaison with dietitians and the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics. This role provides day-to-day leadership to dietetic and/or support staff, including workload allocation, rostering, and service coordination within a fast-paced paediatric healthcare environment. Working closely with the Nutrition and Dietetics management team and multidisciplinary stakeholders—including medical, nursing, allied health, and food services—the Diet Supervisor supports effective service delivery, workforce capability, quality improvement initiatives, and the implementation of evidence-based practice to ensure coordinated, high-quality nutrition care and optimal outcomes for children and families across Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.
