About the Role
The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, reports to our Director of Food and Beverage and partners closely with the Food and Beverage Management team. This role oversees and manages the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets and event services, ensuring smooth execution, exceptional guest service, and adherence to quality and Hyatt brand standards. It plays a key role in optimising revenue, enhancing guest satisfaction and maintaining operational excellence across all Food and Beverage operations.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Oversee the service aspects of hotel events, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality service.
- Ensure all food and beverage offerings meet or exceed guest expectations in terms of quality, presentation, and service.
- Drive the achievement of monthly F&B revenue targets through effective promotional activities and strategies to increase covers and average checks.
- Supervise and ensure the smooth operations of all food and beverage outlets, including Promenade Café, Tea Lounge, Speakers Corner, Lounges, in-room dining and events.
- Develop and oversee the beverage program, including wine lists, signature cocktails and non-alcoholic offerings, ensuring they complement the food menu and enhance the guest experience.
- Identify opportunities for service and operational improvements to enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure all venues are prepared for service according to defined standards.
- Lead, train and develop the food and beverage team, including outlet assistant managers and service associates, to maintain Hyatt brand standards.

Qualifications
A successful candidate will have:
- A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Current experience in food and beverage management in a luxury hotel setting, highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality service and effectively handle customer complaints or issues
- Experience in overseeing daily operations, including scheduling, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience in cost control and managing budgets.
