PUPPY PILATES!
As a Casual Event Assistant, you will support the smooth running of Puppy Pilates Co events. This includes event set-up, welcoming guests, managing puppies safely, and providing an exceptional customer experience. You’ll work alongside our instructors and handlers to create a fun, safe, and positive environment for participants and puppies alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event set-up and pack-down (cleaning, mats, signage, stalls, equipment, puppy pens, merchandise).
- Liaise with puppy partners and assist with puppy handling.
- Greet and check in participants; ensure waivers are completed.
- Handle puppies with care and ensure their well being throughout the session.
- Monitor participant interaction with puppies, upholding safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide support to the Pilates instructor and communicate clearly with guests.
- Help maintain a calm, professional, and positive environment.
- Ensure cleanliness of event space during and after sessions.
- Manage merchandise and handle light administrative duties as required.

- Love for animals and comfort handling small to medium dogs.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Public Speaking and Problem Management.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of light lifting/moving event equipment and bending.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy or unpredictable environment.
Requirements
- Must be available for weekend and occasional weekday work.
- Be willing to conduct Responsible Pet Handling, CPR and First Aid training.
- Experience with animals or events is a bonus but not essential.
Qualifications (not essential)
- Certificate in Events, Fitness or Group Exercise
- Certificate in Animal Studies
- Pet First Aid & CPR / Animal Handling Certificate
- First Aid / CPR Certificate
