About You:
We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our swim school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, level-appropriate swim lessons in accordance with the BBC LTS curriculum and industry best practices.
- Provide clear feedback and progression reports to parents and guardians.
- Always maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to swimmer safety.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture within the Aquatic Centre.
- Support the continuous improvement of the LTS curriculum by providing feedback to the LTS Coordinator.
- Assist in special events (e.g., Swim Carnivals, Holiday Intensives, or Parent Feedback Sessions) when required.
- Represent Brisbane Boys’ College with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
Essential:
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate swimmers aged 3–12 years.
- Strong understanding of stroke development and correction techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
- AUSTSWIM Certification Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or equivalent
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid Certificate
Highly Regarded:
- Experience working within a school or community aquatic setting
- Familiarity with swim school software
- Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for swimmers with additional needs
- AUSTSWIM Certification - Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics (INF)
- AUSTSWIM Certification - Teacher of Competitive Strokes (TCS)
- AUSTSWIM Certification - Teacher of Access and Inclusion (TAI)
- Lifeguard/Lifesaving qualification
- Coaching or education background, especially in physical education or childhood.
