Health and Wellbeing Queensland is seeking a Principal Lead - Physical Activity to provide strategic leadership in improving health outcomes and preventing chronic disease through the promotion of physical activity.
In this senior role, you'll design, implement, and evaluate state-wide health promotion initiatives, provide expert advice to senior leaders, and champion co-design principles to foster collaboration with stakeholders.
Lead an innovative team, influence policies that promote health equity, and contribute to impactful, evidence-based programs that create a healthier Queensland.

Your opportunity
As the Principal Lead - Physical Activity your will be involved in:
- Providing high-level expert advice on preventive health strategies, policies, and initiatives to senior management, stakeholders, and decision-makers, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and priorities.
- Leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategic and state-wide health and wellbeing initiatives, focusing on modifiable risk factors such as physical activity, while driving innovation and evidence-based approaches across the agency.
- Championing co-design principles and a systems approach that influence policy, financial, social and environmental change within preventive health initiatives, fostering collaboration with government and non-government stakeholders to deliver coordinated, impactful prevention and health promotion programs across Queensland.
