Menu Development Lead (Contract)
We’re looking for a Menu Development Lead to help shape the next phase of Cali Press.
This is a short, high-impact contract focused on building a tight, scalable menu across bowls, smoothies, sandwiches and breakfast. The brief is simple: create food people choose as part of their daily routine, built on strong ingredients, clear benefits, and clean execution.
What you’ll do
- Lead menu development from concept to launch (3–4 weeks)
- Build a tight, modular menu designed for speed, consistency and scale
- Create dishes that hero ingredients and feel current, not overworked
- Balance flavour, function and operational simplicity
- Work closely with ops and warehouse to land it in-store
Who you are
- Experience building menus for multi-site / high-volume environments
- Strong understanding of health-led, ingredient-first food
- Thinks in systems, not just recipes
- Commercially sharp, knows what actually works in-store
- Has a feel for current food culture and trends
