As part of this trajectory, a critical opportunity has been established for a Food Technologist to join their technical team. This role is designed for a proactive professional who can bridge the gap between bench-scale innovation and high-volume manufacturing.
The Role
Reporting to the department lead, you will serve as the technical linchpin between ideation and commercial reality. Your mandate covers the end-to-end NPD lifecycle and the optimisation of the existing product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- NPD & Scale-Up: Leading the transition of concepts from lab-scale samples to successful production floor commissioning.
- Technical Stewardship: Managing NIPs, allergen declarations, and ingredient compliance with high precision.
- Operational Support: Providing technical guidance to production to ensure "Best in Class" quality during first-run trials.
- Sensory & Analysis: Orchestrating sensory evaluations and managing external laboratory partnerships for rigorous testing.
- Continuous Improvement: Driving initiatives that deliver cost savings, quality enhancements, and sustainability.
- Supplier Integration: Developing solution-oriented partnerships with ingredient suppliers to resolve complex product briefs.
Your Background
We are seeking an inquisitive technical professional who thrives in complex manufacturing environments. You will bring:
- Technical Pedigree: A strong foundation in food science, with a deep understanding of processing, preserving, and packaging.
- Commercial Acumen: Advanced numerical skills to develop accurate cost models and interpret nutritional data.
- Ownership & Initiative: A "builder" mindset with the ability to identify improvements and drive them to completion independently.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, maintaining credibility from the lab to the factory floor.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science is highly preferred.
